On 30th September 2022, dozens of asbestos victims and anti-asbestos campaigners protested outside Cape offices in Rotherham and Warrington. The protests were called by the Asbestos Victims Support Groups Forum UK. The Forum have obtained documents showing that Cape, formerly Cape Asbestos, hid the true dangers of its asbestos products in the 1960s and 1970s. The Forum is calling for Cape, now owned by Altrad, to donate £10 million to mesothelioma research to put right at least some of the wrong it has done.
