A huge thanks to everyone who came, everyone who donated, everyone who released a dove, and everyone who joined us in a minute’s silence. Thanks also to our speakers: Rebecca Long-Bailey MP, Debbie Abrahams MP, Mike Kane MP, Lisa Clarke of Mesothelioma UK, and Dr Kate Hill of the June Hancock Mesothelioma Research Fund. £5,050 has been raised for mesothelioma research so far, which will be split equally between the June Hancock Mesothelioma Research Fund and the National Centre for Mesothelioma Research. Thank you to Manchester City Council for the loan of Lincoln Square, and to the Friends Meeting House for sorting us out with lunch. On this day we remember everyone who has lost their lives to asbestos disease, both here and abroad.
