This year’s Gordon Marriott Memorial Golf Day took place at Blackley Golf Club, Middleton on Friday 7 September.
The day has been held annually since 2011 in memory of the late Gordon Marriott who passed away from mesothelioma in 2010.
His daughter and son-in-law, Natalie and Chris Hazelhurst, set up the annual golf day to raise awareness of mesothelioma and raise money for the Greater Manchester Asbestos Victims Support Group (GMAVSG).
Jeff Eaman of GMAVSG has raised £888 in sponsorship for GMAVSG by doing a 100 miles overnight bike ride from Carlisle to Edinburgh on 23-24th June 2018. Him & his mates arrived in Edinburgh, somewhat exhausted, in time for a beautiful sunrise. Well done Jeff!
Graham Dring is running the Manchester 10k on Sunday 20th May 2018.
Graham has, optimistically, already paid for a finisher’s medal. He is keen to reassure would-be supporters that he has now started training hard, and that he will rise to the challenge on the day!
Please consider sponsoring Graham, if you are able to. To sponsor...
Many thanks to everyone who kindly sponsored Rob Rayner to give up booze for Lent. The last day of Lent is today, Rob has not touched a drop, and £176.25 has been raised for the Living Well With Mesothelioma support group. Thank you to everyone who donated!...
