This year’s Gordon Marriott Memorial Golf Day took place at Blackley Golf Club, Middleton on Friday 7 September.
The day has been held annually since 2011 in memory of the late Gordon Marriott who passed away from mesothelioma in 2010.
His daughter and son-in-law, Natalie and Chris Hazelhurst, set up the annual golf day to raise awareness of mesothelioma and raise money for the Greater Manchester Asbestos Victims Support Group (GMAVSG).
Jeff Eaman of GMAVSG has raised £888 in sponsorship for GMAVSG by doing a 100 miles overnight bike ride from Carlisle to Edinburgh on 23-24th June 2018. Him & his mates arrived in Edinburgh, somewhat exhausted, in time for a beautiful sunrise. Well done Jeff!
