2019 marks the 20th anniversary of the UK ban on asbestos. The ban was necessary, and long-overdue. Though it came too late to protect many, we have no doubt that the ban has saved many lives, and that it will continue to do so for as long as it remains in place.

We are holding an event to celebrate, and commemorate, the occasion of the ban. Join us from 2pm to 4pm on Friday 22nd November 2019 in the cafe at the Peoples History Museum (Left Bank, Spinningfields, Manchester, M3 3ER).  There will be some short speeches from campaigners at 2.15pm, with plenty of time to drink and chat afterwards.
